New Radio Ad Says Capito in Bed with Big Corporations

August 29, 2011

Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito is in bed with big corporations in Washington, D.C. – and at the same time she’s ignoring her white working class constituents back home in West Virginia.

That’s the take of a new radio ad currently running in Capito’s district in West Virginia.

The ad began running this week on WDHC, 92.9 Down Home Country in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.

“Why is Congresswoman Capito so friendly with the inside the beltway corporate lobbyists?” the radio ad asks. “Why is she always voting against the people of her district and for the big corporations?”

“Why did Capito vote in April for legislation the Wall Street Journal says would end Medicare?”

“Why doesn’t she give a damn about the white working class people of her district?”

“Why doesn’t Capito care?”

“Because Congresswoman Capito is in bed with the big corporations.”

“Capito’s largest contributor over her career is Citibank.”

“Her husband works for Wells Fargo.”

“Capito has decided that being friendly with corporate lobbyists in Washington was more important than working for the people of her district.”

“Capito voted to gut Medicare.”

“And then lied about it.”

“What can we do about Congresswoman Capito’s betrayal?”

“Sign the petition at capitoresign.org.”
