Another breakthrough for single payer advocates.

Congressman George Miller (D-California) has arranged for a single payer hearing for this Wednesday June 10, 2009 at 10:30 in 2175 Rayburn House Office Building.

The hearing will be held by the Health Employment Labor and Pensions Subcommittee of the House Committee on Education and Labor.

Congressman John Conyers (D-Michigan) — sponsor of HR 676, the single payer legislation in the House — and former Philadelphia health commissioner Dr. Walter Tsou are confirmed to testify — although the witness list is still be worked on by committee staffers.
